The Miami Grand Prix, was one of three of F1's latest venues here in the United States. The Grand Prix became one of the most anticipated Grand Prix of 2022, as the track, The Miami International Autodrome takes these F1 cars around the Hard Rock Stadium. The Miami International Autodrome contains a lot of high speed straights as well as challenging corners for the drivers to achieve.

Speculation was rampant over the potential of Formula One to hit Miami at the time when the sport was trying to gain more popularity in the United States. Because of the thrilling 2021 season, F1 had just put in a very successful event in the city of Austin, Texas as the race featured more action between championship rivals Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, and was now underway with other projects in the U.S. market. Before long, the city was officially announced in May 2021 as the Miami Grand Prix became the sport's new destination in the USA. Since the location was in the parking area of the stadium, the track was separately constructed to be used for the race. The debut Miami Grand Prix started in May 2022. The circuit design allowed famous engineers to make a compound with a blend of high-speed straights and challenging corners that characterized an intense course of competition. The designer for track was Apex Circuit Design, a circuit designing company that were responsible of bringing Formula One to Miami.

When it was time for Formula One to go racing in Miami, they held a launch party at the Hard Rock Stadium, just a day before the race weekend. The Miami Grand Prix, managed to attract a lot of fans over the weekend, about 275,000 fans attended the Grand Prix. When it was time for the race, it was a success. 2.6 million viewers tuned in for F1's first race in Miami, making it one of the most viewed Formula One races in the United States. During the Grand Prix, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc managed to take pole position, and starts the front row alongside with his team mate Carlos Sainz. Unfortunately for him and his team during the race, Leclerc was struggling on track, combined with pit stop strategies that had cost him dearly in the race. Red Bull's Max Verstappen was showing off rapid pace, and was looking towards another Grand Prix victory. The fans would also see the crash of McLaren's Lando Norris and Alpha Tauri's Pierre Gasly, on the straight right after Turn 3 that would bring out the Safety Car. Verstappen managed to win the Miami Grand Prix after his team gave him the right calls for the pit stop strategies.
During the 2024 FIA Formula One World Championship, the 2024 Miami Grand Prix would be the first Grand Prix Victory, for McLaren's Lando Norris. McLaren was more competitive than ever and had a much faster car during the 2024 season. During the Grand Prix, many believed that the race would yet again, be won by Verstappen as he seemed to be dominant during the race. But on Lap 21, Verstappen accidentally clipped the bollard on the infamous Turns 14-15, damaging his car. He was called into the pits and because of this, McLaren's Oscar Piastri, was able to overtake Verstappen and lead the Grand Prix. The race would go under a Safety Car, due to the incident between Haas's Kevin Magnussen, and the home favorite William's Logan Sergeant. As most of the drivers on the field went onto the pits, Lando Norris stayed out until he was eventually called in. Norris came out of the pits and was suddenly the race leader. Once the green flag waves, Norris kept his pace and managed to held of Verstappen. But it all paid of for McLaren, as Norris would eventually cross the line and take his first Formula One Grand Prix Victory, in Miami.

Overall, Miami has been an overall success for Formula One. The race gathered a lot of new fans around the United States, which helped boost F1's popularity across the country. The track is a great and challenging circuit for the drivers to experience, as it contains both high speed straights and challenging low speed corners. F1 wasn't done with the United States yet, as their next track in the US, will be held at Las Vegas.
