Miami Grand Prix

Speculation was rampant over the potential of Formula One to hit Miami at the time when the sport was trying to gain more popularity in the United States. Because of the thrilling 2021 season,  F1 had just put in a very successful event in the city of Austin, Texas as the race featured more action between championship rivals Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, and was now underway with other projects in the U.S. market. Before long, the city was officially announced in May 2021 as the Miami Grand Prix became the sport's new destination in the USA. Since the location was in the parking area of the stadium, the track was separately constructed to be used for the race. The debut Miami Grand Prix started in May 2022. The circuit design allowed famous engineers to make a compound with a blend of high-speed straights and challenging corners that characterized an intense course of competition. The designer for track was Apex Circuit Design, a circuit designing company that were responsible of bringing Formula One to Miami.

The fans would also see the crash of McLaren's Lando Norris and Alpha Tauri's Pierre Gasly, on the straight right after Turn 3 that would bring out the Safety Car. Verstappen managed to win the Miami Grand Prix after his team gave him the right calls for the pit stop strategies.

During the 2024 FIA Formula One World Championship, the 2024 Miami Grand Prix would be the first Grand Prix Victory, for McLaren's Lando Norris. McLaren was more competitive than ever and had a much faster car during the 2024 season. But on Lap 21, Verstappen accidentally clipped the bollard on the infamous Turns 14-15, damaging his car. He was called into the pits and because of this, McLaren's Oscar Piastri, was able to overtake Verstappen and lead the Grand Prix. The race would go under a Safety Car, due to the incident between Haas's Kevin Magnussen, and the home favorite William's Logan Sergeant. As most of the drivers on the field went onto the pits, Lando Norris stayed out until he was eventually called in. Norris came out of the pits and was suddenly the race leader. Once the green flag waves, Norris kept his pace and managed to held of Verstappen. But it all paid of for McLaren, as Norris would eventually cross the line and take his first Formula One Grand Prix Victory, in Miami.
